Green Roofs

A sedum green roof grown on our family farm adds colour and brings in wildlife. We make them to measure for log stores, bike stores, carports and even houses.

The system

Made to fit the building

You can add a green roof when you order one of our garden buildings. If you'd like one on a building you already own, we can do that too. Every roof is made to measure for the building it sits on.

We supply and fit the fleece underlay and the drainage layer, then the trays of sedum grown on our family farm. Decorative stone and edging trim give it a neat finish. Once it's in, it needs very little looking after, and like everything we make at Sedum & Sage, it's built for the British weather as it is now.

Layer one

Fleece underlay

Protects the roof and holds moisture where the roots need it.

Layer two

Drainage layer

Lets extra rain drain away, so the plants never sit in water.

Layer three

Sedum trays

Pre-grown trays, 50 by 50cm, that fit together into one living mat of colour.
