Our Story

Experts in creating gardens that endure

From wet and windy winters to blistering British summers, our gardens have to cope with more than ever.

At Sedum & Sage, we help you create an outdoor space that not only withstands every season, but adds kerb appeal too.

The workshop

Hand-built in Lincolnshire

Every timber car port, pergola, log store, bin store and bike store we sell is hand-built in our workshop in Metheringham, Lincolnshire. We use responsibly sourced, FSC-certified, pressure-treated softwood, chunky timber posts and traditional details such as curved corner braces, so each piece looks good and is built to last.

Many of our designs can be finished with a traditional felt roof or a living sedum green roof. If you need something a little different, get in touch and we can talk about a custom build.

The farm

Grown on our Lincolnshire farm

Our sedum is grown on our own farm in Lincolnshire, using locally sourced compost and materials. Alongside our green roof trays and sedum mixes, we offer a growing range of hardy, drought-tolerant plants, including sempervivums, alpines, perennials, shrubs and trees, chosen to thrive in the changing British climate with little maintenance.

Why green roofs?

A home for bees, butterflies and wildlife

A sedum roof turns a log store, bin store, car port or shed into a living habitat. Green roofs soften the look of garden buildings, slow rainwater run-off and add colour that changes through the seasons.
